You are hereby summoned to attend the next meeting of the Town Improvements Committee to be held at 7pm on 18th November 2019 in the Old Courthouse, Jaycroft Road, Burnham-on-Sea.

AGENDA

  1. To receive apologies for non-attendance
  2. To receive any declarations of interest on items included on this Agenda.
  3. To receive and approve the minutes of the Committee meeting held on 23rd September 2019 (copy enclosed)
  4.  To note updates to the Action List (attached)
  5. To note that Sedgemoor DC have agreed to a request by the Burnham Chamber of Trade, & supported by the Town Council, for a permanent arrangement to permit free parking on the three weekends on the run-up to Christmas as well as free parking after 4 p.m. on the night of the Christmas light switch on event. 
  6. To receive an update on the performance/use of the dog waste bag dispensers.
  7.  To consider a request for an installation of a litter bin at Frank Foley Way at a cost of £250
  8. To receive an update on the consultation results from residents trialling gull-proof rubbish bags
  9. To agree the committee’s 2020/21 budget for recommendation to the Finance & Resources Committee
  10. The next meeting of this committee will be held on Monday 20th January 2020 at 7pm The Old Courthouse.

Grant Application Kings Coronation Form

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023, with an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

We are keen to hear from groups/organisations in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge that are looking to celebrate the Coronation. The Town Council has £1500 available to allocate to events being organised to celebrate the Kings Coronation. The maximum grant to be allocated per event will be £500.

You must meet the following criteria for your application to be considered:

– The event will be open to all members of the public

– The event will be free of charge

– The event will take place within the Coronation weekend

– The event will take place within Burnham on Sea or Highbridge

 

Applications will close on Monday 6th March at midday.
