The Armistice was an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War as a prelude to peace negotiations and began on the 11th November 1918 at 11am.
On Monday 11th November 2024 at 11am, the Town Council will be holding short services at the flag pole in Pier Street/Station Approach, Burnham-on-Sea and outside the Community Hall in Highbridge, to mark Armistice Day and to remember the people who lost their lives in wars around the world. The flag will be lowered to half-mast followed by two minutes silence and prayers.
All are welcome to attend.
