Residents, veterans, schools, local organisations and dignitaries came together in a moving tribute to those who served and sacrificed in times of war at the annual Remembrance Day Parade held on Sunday, 9th November 2025. The event, was organised by Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council in partnership with the Royal British Legion.
Participants gathered at 10:15am in the B&M car park before parading through High Street, Princess Street, and Oxford Street, culminating in a poignant service at the War Memorial Hospital on Love Lane. The Parade was marked by respectful silence, community spirit and heartfelt remembrance.
On Tuesday, 11th November, the Town Council also hosted an Armistice Day Service at 10:50am at the Pier Street/Station Approach flagpole, including a two-minute silence. A simultaneous flag-raising ceremony was held outside the Community Hall in Highbridge and The Last Post was played on a bugle by Councillor Paul Wynn.
