Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council is organising this year’s Remembrance Parade on Sunday 9th November, with the help of the Royal British Legion. As in previous years, organisations will meet at 10.15am in the car park by B&M and parade through the High Street, Princess Street and Oxford Street to the War Memorial Hospital in Love Lane, where a service of remembrance will be held.
During this event there will be some necessary road closures.
On Tuesday 11th November at 10.50am, the Town Council will be holding a service at the flag pole in Pier Street/Station Approach to mark Armistice Day which will include a two minutes silence to honour and remember those who served and sacrificed in times of war.
A flag raising ceremony will also be held at 10.50am outside the Community Hall in Highbridge.
