Village Enhancement Scheme (VES) Residents Meeting

Village Enhancement Scheme (VES) Residents Meeting

We are writing to formally invite you to one of our residents’ meetings, which will be held on the following dates and times:

Puriton Village Hall, Thursday 27 August – 6pm.
Woolavington Village Hall, Friday 28 August – 6pm.

This will be an opportunity to meet Montel – the lead contractor for the VES – along with the wider design team, who will talk about the programme of works that are expected to take place in September, as well as answering any questions local people may have. The agenda is as follows:

  • Introductions
  • Overview
  • Scope of works
  • Programme of works
  • Traffic management
  • Health and safety
  • Q&A
  • AOB

As you are aware, the VES is a key piece of community infrastructure that will create a safe and attractive, off-road link between Woolavington, Puriton and the Gravity Smart Campus, as part of Gravity’s Clean and Inclusive Growth strategy. Works will also include a series of traffic-calming measures, aimed at creating a safer place for all.

The VES will be built using recycled materials from the Gravity site where possible, and new native trees will be planted along the route to further enhance the area.

In addition, Montel has a comprehensive Employment and Skills plan is committed to providing employment opportunities for local people where possible during the construction programme.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please do contact us at info@thisisgravity.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there.
