Sedgemoor is turning into the Hollywood of the West!

Parts of a new major BBC One drama are due to be filmed in Burnham-on-Sea over the coming days (see below).  All the necessary permissions, risk assessments and traffic management arrangements have been granted and residents of Quantock Court will have a letter explaining the processes.

On Monday, 24th May – Production security personnel will cordon off an area of Pier Street Car Park for film unit parking.

On Tuesday 25th May – From early morning, there will be welfare facilities arriving in Pier Street Car Park and filming is due to start mid-afternoon outside of Quantock Court well into the night.

On Wednesday 26th May, filming will start early afternoon near the jetty, South Esplanade and Pier Street Car park.  

This is alongside other filming which has taken place recently in Sedgemoor.    Cheddar Gorge was used for two major advertising campaign and the BBC Natural History Unit have recently been filming on Berrow Beach.

Town council reception reopens

The Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council reception has reopened at The Old Courthouse in Jaycroft Road, Burnham-on-Sea, today. The reception will open Monday to Thursday, from 9am-3pm. There is no change to the phone line,
