Golf Open Final Qualifying

Golf Open Final Qualifying

Please see below a letter concerning road restrictions around the final qualifying rounds of the Open Golf Tournament:

This letter is to advise that Open Final Qualifying for The 154th Open will take place at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club on Tuesday 30 June 2026. This will be the third time Burnham & Berrow Golf Club will have hosted this prestigious championship.

The preparation of the golf course and wider facilities began back in 2022, in anticipation of 72 leading professionals, elite amateurs and club professionals looking to realise their dreams of qualifying for Golf’s Original Championship.

We are anticipating that members of the local community and golf enthusiasts from the region will likely wish to attend. With local authority support and in the interest of public safety and in order to keep traffic flowing smoothly, no-waiting cones will be in place along St Christophers Way, Regency Close, Edith Close and very small sections of Berrow Road.

The no-waiting cones will be installed during the afternoon of Monday 29 June.

There will be very minimal disruption in the days before and after the event with construction traffic being very minimal. The public footpaths bordering the course and two crossing points will remain open and be unaffected. All car parking will be onsite at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club with additional visitor car parking being provided on the Channel Course at Burnham & Berrow; this will be clearly signposted and managed by The AA.

The members of Burnham & Berrow Golf Club would like to thank you for your cooperation and support during this exciting event, and invite you to come along and support as we prepare to welcome the future stars of the golfing world to Burnham & Berrow Golf Club.
