On Saturday 28th June, Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council celebrated Armed Forces Day to commemorate the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces.
At 11am, the Armed Forces Day flag was raised at the flagpole on Old Station Approach, attended by Councillor Facey, Mayor of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge.
The raising of the flag organised by Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council, with support from Burnham-on-Sea’s branch of the Royal British Legion, honoured the service and dedication of the British armed forces. Regrettably, the Highbridge flag could not be raised due to a mechanical fault.
