Election of ONE Councillor for Highbridge Ward, Burnham & Highbridge Town Council

  1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Somerset Council Offices, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday between 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.00pm (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4.00pm on Tuesday 21 November 2023, by appointment only, (please call 01278 435268)
  • Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Somerset Council Offices, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR, during the times stated above.
  •   If any election is contested the poll will take place on Monday 18 December 2023.
  • Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Thursday 30 November, 2023. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
  • Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Somerset Council Offices, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR by 5pm on Friday 1 December, 2023.
  • Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Friday 8 December, 2023. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/applyforphotoid-voter-authority-certificate
  • New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Somerset Council Offices Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR by 5pm on Friday 8 December, 2023.
  • Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Somerset Council Offices, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR on Monday 18 December 2023

Grant Application Kings Coronation Form

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023, with an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

We are keen to hear from groups/organisations in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge that are looking to celebrate the Coronation. The Town Council has £1500 available to allocate to events being organised to celebrate the Kings Coronation. The maximum grant to be allocated per event will be £500.

You must meet the following criteria for your application to be considered:

– The event will be open to all members of the public

– The event will be free of charge

– The event will take place within the Coronation weekend

– The event will take place within Burnham on Sea or Highbridge

 

Applications will close on Monday 6th March at midday.

Applications will be considered at the Finance and Resources Committee Meeting on Monday 13th March 2023. You will be notified after this date whether your application has been successful.
