(BURNHAM SOUTH WARD)

VACANCY FOR A TOWN COUNCILLOR

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 87 of the Local Government Act 1972, that due to the resignation of Sue Barber there is a vacancy for a Councillor for the Burnham South Ward of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council

If, within 14 days* after the date of this notice, requests for an election to fill the said vacancy is made in writing to the Chief Executive, Electoral Services, Somerset Council, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR by TEN electors for the said Ward, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by the Town Council by co-option.

* In computing any period of time for this purpose, a Saturday, Sunday, day of the Christmas break, of the Easter break or of a bank holiday or day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning must be disregarded.
