A large Robinia tree in Highbridge Cemetery is to be felled next week due to severe internal decay and instability. After consultation with a certified arboriculturist, it has been determined that there is a significant risk of the tree falling.
We understand is a very prominent tree and this decision was not taken lightly. However, the extent of deterioration presents an unacceptable level of risk. Tree felling is always a last resort, but the Council’s top priority is the safety of residents.
