The Town Council is organising this years’ Remembrance Parade with the help of the Royal British Legion on Sunday 14th November. As in previous years the organisations will gather in the Coach Park at B&M and at 10.30am will parade through the High St. Princess Street and Oxford Street to the War Memorial Hospital in Love Lane, where there will be a short service of remembrance. During this event there will be some necessary road closures.
We are hoping to have a few military vehicles taking part in the parade for the first time. They will be positioned at the front of the parade and will park up in the Manor Gardens during the remembrance service and will remain there for a time after the parade has been dismissed. So should you like to get up close to see these vehicles you will be made very welcome by the owners.
There may also be some Royal British Legion motorbike riders taking part in the parade and they will be positioned behind the military vehicles.
As in past years there will also be a small band to help the parade march to the beat.
