The Prince of Wales Award is for Organisations and Initiatives run by the Community for the Community, and is Supported by The Duchy of Cornwall with the Royal Bath and West of England Society.
The Prince of Wales award has been running for several years now. It is intended for projects that are run by the people, for the people with the option for large and diverse parts of the community to become involved,and this year the judges would welcome applications from groups whose projects have made a difference to their Community during the pandemic..

Applications should be received by the closing date of Friday 24th March 2023. All nominations are reviewed by a panel of judges and those chosen will then receive a short visit by the judges on April 17th 2023 before those shortlisted are invited to the first day of the Royal Bath & West Show.
The winning project will be announced at the opening ceremony of the Show on June 1st . They will be presented with a certificate and keep sake as well as a prize cheque of £1000 and will then be free to enjoy the Show for the rest of the day.
Previous winners have come from a diverse range of organisations and most recently have included the APE Project in Bristol, Kempley Produce Market and Stogumer Cricket Club.
Phil Parry, Director of 2022 winners the APE Project said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award. The grant will help support our work with disadvantaged children and will be spent on our amazing adventure playground, located in St Pauls, close to the centre of Bristol. It is so rewarding to have the hard work of our staff and volunteers recognised in this way – thank you so much!”
