Plans for the Somerset & Exmoor Coast Festival are moving at a pace and there are currently 57 walks, events and celebrations live on the website.

Eight Early Bird Tickets for the 80 Miles in 8 Days Challenge

These tickets include a 15% discount and are available until 11.30pm on Sunday 27th August, so grab yours now to receive the discount.

Family Friendly

We have also introduced a number of tickets for children on the weekend walks, and for children under five on some of the mid-week walks too. For children between 5 and 16 years the tickets are half price at £4, while children under five can join free.

Check the event type on the walk you are interested in and if you see Family Friendly in the description, tickets for children will be available via the booking link to Eventbrite.

Featured Event

Our first featured event is now live with The Rogues Shanty Band who will be playing at Porlock Village Hall on Saturday, 30th September between 7.30pm and 10pm.

The Rogues are a local band made up of men, women and children who are all passionate about performing and singing, so get ready for a Shanty band with a difference!

We’re looking forward to seeing many of you at the Festival.

Grant Application Kings Coronation Form

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023, with an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

We are keen to hear from groups/organisations in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge that are looking to celebrate the Coronation. The Town Council has £1500 available to allocate to events being organised to celebrate the Kings Coronation. The maximum grant to be allocated per event will be £500.

You must meet the following criteria for your application to be considered:

– The event will be open to all members of the public

– The event will be free of charge

– The event will take place within the Coronation weekend

– The event will take place within Burnham on Sea or Highbridge

 

Applications will close on Monday 6th March at midday.

Applications will be considered at the Finance and Resources Committee Meeting on Monday 13th March 2023. You will be notified after this date whether your application has been successful.
