Only paper wrapping can be recycled, so please shop wisely. You can recycle paper wrapping in your black recycling box (we cannot take black bags of wrapping or other paper – crews won’t know what’s inside). Or you can take it to a recycling site. Each site will have a special drop-off point for paper wrapping paper (please do not put wrapping paper in the cardboard skips). Foil, plastic or glittery wrapping paper can NOT be recycled and has to go into your refuse bin. If you’re not sure, take the “scrunch test”… Scrunch it up and if it stays scrunched then it is recyclable, but make sure you remove any sticky tape, glitter and decorations. If it doesn’t stay scrunched them it cannot be recycled and needs to go into your refuse bin. |
