Important changes to Homefinder Somerset

This is a reminder that some important changes are being made to Homefinder Somerset this summer. This includes improvements to the website and the online application form. These changes are being made following feedback received from people registered with Homefinder Somerset and organisations who work with them.

A notice has been placed on the Homefinder Somerset website, and weekly bulk emails & web messages are being sent to advise applicants and those with a part-completed new application that because of the important changes being made:

  • Any changes to existing applications must be completed and submitted by Friday 25th June, and that any changes that are not submitted by this date will be deleted.
  • New applications must be completed and submitted by Wednesday 28th July ,and that applications that are not completed and submitted by this date will be deleted. 

Please see below some of the key dates for the changes:

  • Wednesday 21st – Sunday 25th July: The last letting cycle on the current website
  • Week beginning 26th July: No properties will be advertised
  • Monday 2nd August: The new website & back office system will go live. Applicants will again be able to update an existing application or submit a new application. Please note that the website address (www.homefindersomerset.co.uk) will remain the same
  • Wednesday 4th – Sunday 8th August: First letting cycle on the new website

Grant Application Kings Coronation Form

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023, with an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

We are keen to hear from groups/organisations in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge that are looking to celebrate the Coronation. The Town Council has £1500 available to allocate to events being organised to celebrate the Kings Coronation. The maximum grant to be allocated per event will be £500.

You must meet the following criteria for your application to be considered:

– The event will be open to all members of the public

– The event will be free of charge

– The event will take place within the Coronation weekend

– The event will take place within Burnham on Sea or Highbridge

 

Applications will close on Monday 6th March at midday.

Applications will be considered at the Finance and Resources Committee Meeting on Monday 13th March 2023. You will be notified after this date whether your application has been successful.
