Casual Theatre Duty Officer Vacancy

The Princess Theatre & Arts Centre hosts a wide range of professional and community events.  We are recruiting for a Casual Duty Officer, reporting to the Theatre Manager, to assist with all duties relating to the management of events at the venue.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a public facing environment, with excellent customer service and communication skills.

The role includes:

  • Ensuring all visitors receive a professional and friendly welcome to the theatre.
  • Supervise volunteers and allocate volunteer activity for the event.
  • Be the main point of contact for our alarm and security monitoring partners.
  • Act as a key holder and be responsible for opening/locking up and setting building alarms.
  • Ensuring health and safety and fire regulations are adhered to in accordance with the Council’s protocols.
  • Handling cash and cashing up.

We are looking for a candidate that is a good team player and able to offer flexibility by working evenings and weekends.

Salary SCP 10 – £13.24 per hour

Hours to be rota’d on a casual basis

(estimated to be between 15-30 per month)

Grant Application Kings Coronation Form

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023, with an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

We are keen to hear from groups/organisations in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge that are looking to celebrate the Coronation. The Town Council has £1500 available to allocate to events being organised to celebrate the Kings Coronation. The maximum grant to be allocated per event will be £500.

You must meet the following criteria for your application to be considered:

– The event will be open to all members of the public

– The event will be free of charge

– The event will take place within the Coronation weekend

– The event will take place within Burnham on Sea or Highbridge

 

Applications will close on Monday 6th March at midday.
