How does the system work?

MCT offices at Quarry Way Business Park, Waterlip Shepton Mallet receive calls from registered customers to arrange transport to medical appointments over 12 miles away from their home address. MCT office staff then liaise with a driver to collect them at the correct time to ensure they can attend their appointment and return them afterwards. Most transport requests are for Hospital Appointments.

From the outset you can advise the MCT office the days that you wish to work.

What is the remuneration package?

Customers are charged at the rate of 65p per mile from driver’s home to destination and return to drivers’ home plus a £2.50 Admin fee. Driver retains 50p per mile.

Who covers the Insurance position?

Driver to undertake their normal insurance for his/her vehicle. Then MCT’s Insurers will cover Public Liability up to a limit of £10M, Excess and No Claims Discount when driving for MCT. Details of drivers Insurance will be required.
