Congratulations to Paul Wynn, who has been co-opted onto the Town Council to fill the vacant Highbridge ward seat this week.
Cllr Wynn attracted the largest majority of votes to secure the vacant seat at a meeting of the town council yesterday (Monday, January 17th 2022).
When asked why would Paul would like to join the town council as a councillor, he said: “I have lived in Burnham since birth and I have always been interested in the workings of the town council. But, to be honest, I have not had the time until now.
“I feel as a real local I have a lot of experience of the two towns, having worked in the High St in Burnham with my own business for over 40 years, I was a member of HMCG here 5 years as the Station Officer and I was a member of The Special Constabulary in Highbridge and Burnham.
“I also played in the Town Brass Band for over 25 years, and lastly was a member of the local Panto Society for over 32 years, so I have integrated quite well into the local community.”
Congratulations Paul, we wish you every success in the future.
