NOTICEBOARD

Rough sleepers

As a result of Sedgemoor District Council’s commitment to end rough sleeping, we are continuing to work closely with our partners at ARC, YMCA Dulverton Group and Julian House; we have a range of experienced and knowledgeable staff working closely with the most vulnerable members of our community to help them access support, healthcare and accommodation.

At this time of year, it is wonderful to see so many people wishing to get involved with supporting members of the rough sleeping community.  However, we ask that this is done in a co-ordinated way to make sure individuals are not missing out on important support sessions with members of our Rough Sleeper team.  This enables us to help those who need it get support with their health, addictions and housing.

If you know of someone sleeping rough, please report it through Streetlink on 0300 500 0914 or www.streetlink.org.uk and our outreach service will make contact with them.

Anyone wishing to donate to the local homeless charities this year can do so by contacting YMCA DG, Arc or Westfield Church.
