The Town Mayor opens Burnham’s new look Rosewood Pub & Restaurant

Mayor opening Rosewood Pub

Cllr Mike Facey, Mayor of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council, was delighted to be invited by the Rosewood’s owners, Greene King, to open the new-look Rosewood Pub and Restaurant.

The Rosewood has been closed since it was destroyed by fire in June 2019. The all-new refurbishment has resulted in an impressive venue now open and warmly welcoming guests in a Covid-19 compliant setting.

The Rosewood’s manager, Karl Bryant, welcomed Cllr Facey, who attended with guests including the deputy mayor, Cllr Andy Hodge, and the chairman of Sedgemoor District Council, Cllr Peter Clayton.

Mr Bryant confirmed that there will be 40 employees working at the pub in part-time and full-time roles, which Cllr Facey stated was, “great news for Burnham-on-Sea and the local economy”.
