Do you have a few hours a week free to support a person living with sight loss in your community?

We are urgently seeking volunteers for our Volunteer Visiting Service to offer companionship and support. Our flagship service has been matching people across the county for the last 20 years.

By becoming a volunteer, you can assist a visually impaired person to safely leave their house and enjoy all the local environment has to offer.

Volunteer Visitors help with a variety of things, such as:

· Company and friendship

· Reading and correspondence

· Making and accessing appointments

· Going out for a drive and a cup of tea

With the support of Hinkley Point C Community Fund, we are looking to recruit more Volunteers in Bridgwater and surrounding areas.

Somerset Sight offers full training and support and covers all reasonable expenses.
