Join the Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea Christmas Lights switch on events with a new creative activity from Seed

Following on from the success of last year’s lantern making project, GlowHome, Seed have just launched Glow Lanterns, this year’s creative activity to run alongside the Christmas lights switch on. You can make your very own eco-friendly paper bag lantern to carry in the lantern parade at the Christmas Lights Switch On events in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge.

Free lanterns activity packs are now available to collect from Create You on Market Street in Highbridge and several local shops in Burnham-on-Sea:
▪ Material Needs
▪ Crafty Comforts
▪ Baby Bee Crafty
▪ Toy Cupboard
▪ Indoor market

Each lantern pack comes with everything you will need to make the lantern and an LED tealight, even safe for little hands. As well as supplying the paper bag lantern packs, Create You are running several free drop-in workshops to make floating lanterns leading up to the events. The walk-in lantern sessions are taking place in the shop on:
▪ Sunday 14th November 1.30-3.30pm
▪ Thursday 18th November 10-12pm and
▪ Sunday 21st November 1.30-3.30 pm
▪Sunday 14th November 1.30-3.30pm

There is no need to book, just turn up on the day!

The parades take place on Saturday 20 November in Burnham-on-Sea, meeting at the Queen Vic Hotel at 5.45pm, and Saturday 27 November in Highbridge, meeting at 4pm at Highbridge Community Hall.
You just need to bring along a lantern to take part.

There are several other activities taking place throughout the day in Burnham-on-Sea on Saturday so head to www.seedsedgemoor.com/glowlanterns for the full details.
