The Music of Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves & Hank Williams

An evening to celebrate the power of her music!

2023 will have been 60 years since Patsy left us so, please let’s honour her by celebrating the music in a good old-fashioned way, Country Music, Western Wear, and a good old sing song, let the Good Times Roll!

For all the Country music lovers help us celebrate 100 years of Jim Reeves & The Granddaddy of Country Music Hank Williams.

Sue Lowry grew up travelling the UK with her parents’ Country Music Band, which would prove to lay down all of her Country Musical Roots! Her powerful rendition of ‘Crazy’, ‘I Fall to Pieces’, and ‘Sweet Dreams’, will take you back to those Honky-Tonk days

Joining Sue Lowry –

Marc Robinson, who is renowned for playing Buddy Holly, will pay tribute to the Granddaddy of Country Music, Hank Williams, with songs that include… “Howlin’ at the Moon”, “I saw the Light”, and “Rootie Tootie”.

Lee Davidge performs a sensitive tribute to Jim Reeves with his authentic costume and iconic mesmerizing voice, songs will include … “Welcome to my World”, “Distant Drums”, and the song everyone knows and loves – a song everyone can join in with, “Bimbo”!                                                                       

Wear your best Country and Western gear and join us for a Hayride of a Show!

Grant Application Kings Coronation Form

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023, with an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

We are keen to hear from groups/organisations in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge that are looking to celebrate the Coronation. The Town Council has £1500 available to allocate to events being organised to celebrate the Kings Coronation. The maximum grant to be allocated per event will be £500.

You must meet the following criteria for your application to be considered:

– The event will be open to all members of the public

– The event will be free of charge

– The event will take place within the Coronation weekend

– The event will take place within Burnham on Sea or Highbridge

 

Applications will close on Monday 6th March at midday.

Applications will be considered at the Finance and Resources Committee Meeting on Monday 13th March 2023. You will be notified after this date whether your application has been successful.
