Chris Tuck joins with his colleagues to celebrate his 25 years with the Town Council

Chris started working for the council in October 1996. For most of this time the his role has been as a caretaker in the cemeteries, with many locals and visitors getting to know him whilst working in Highbridge cemetery for the past 20 years.  Many of whom have over the years taken the time to write in or phone the office to give their thanks in either the way Chris has helped a family, when it is often a very emotional and sensitive time ,or in showing the care he has in maintaining the cemeteries appearance.

Mayor, Cllr Mike Facey commented, ‘Chris takes great pride in his work and this has been on show for everyone to see in the superbly maintained cemetery grounds over the years and it is great when other people appreciate and recognise this too. Because of the skills that Chris has developed over the years I am pleased that Chris has taken up the post of Town Ranger and I am confident he will have a positive impact on the Towns.’

Chris simply said  ‘I love the job I do and I am humbled in being able to do it in the town I live in’.
