On Sunday morning the Remembrance Parade was truly impressive with many members of the community attending and participating in the parade and the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial Hospital. It was a fitting tribute to all those who served to defend our democratic freedoms and our way of life, and to remember their sacrifice.
Mayor Councillor Perry said “Once again, the presence of so many youth groups and their leaders was particularly pleasing, as we were encouraged to think, not just of past sacrifices, but how we can all strive for peace and a just future”.
Our thanks go to everyone who helped organise or contributed to this event.
