It was making use of a vacant building but still retaining the ground floor for business use. It was delivering 1st floor accommodation with the space appropriate for 2 flats. Members were encouraged to see that a storage bin area was supplied with the application and also pleased that the windows were being kept as these are an historic character of the building.

Proposal: Erection of single storey extensions to side (west) and rear (north) elevations (partly on site of existing conservatory to be demolished). Erection of single storey detached garage/workshop/store.

There was concern over possible noise from the workshop. The single storey elevation appeared quite high. The application had stated it was to store vintage cars and usually these are in need of restoration there were no grounds on which to object to this application.
